Conservation Foundation presented the 7th Annual Aurora GreenFest on June 11, 2016. The Aurora GreenFest is a free, family-focused event that brings ideas for sustainable living to the people of the Aurora Area. GreenFest includes local farmers, renewable energy, conservation and nature appreciation, recycling, and a green car show.
This year, GreenFest will add a non-commercial Educational Exhibition Tent, focusing on the individual citizen’s ability to lessen carbon emissions, to improve water quality, to reduce agricultural pollution and to improve health through the growth and consumption of organic foods.
Other GreenFest collaborators include Sierra Club, the Friends of the Fox, City of Aurora’s Sustainable Aurora Commission and Waubonsee Community College.
