Aurora Public Library Foundation

Aurora Public Library (APL) is where people come to discover, create, connect, and succeed. For residents who cannot utilize services onsite, APL brings the library to them.

The Bookmobile, the mobile branch of the APL system, has served more than 35,000 individuals and made more than 8,000 visits to schools, senior living centers, parks, and housing units throughout the community during the last 66 years.

As the Aurora Public Library prepares to retire the current Bookmobile, it is looking for an opportunity to construct a state-of-the-art Bookmobile that aligns with new technology and would sport an innovative layout that allows APL to customize services based on the needs of each location.

Support from the Dunham Fund helped to support the start of the Bookmobile’s Capital Campaign.
